Our log houses will require permanent foundations and building regulation approval, we have a lot of experience in log house construction and know what it takes to make a log home comply with the latest standards.
The things a log house will need, and a mobile log home doesn’t are a building regulation application and inspection fees, detailed drawings, structural engineers’ certification of foundation and structure, drainage design approval.
Typically, your budget will be doubled for a log house compared to a mobile log home, but you gain much more flexibility of design with a log house not being governed by mobile regulations.
There are a lot of factors that will affect the cost of your log house, such as log size, scale and complexity, roof type and many more elements of design including the level of completion you require from us. How Soon Can You Have a Log House?
The length of time it takes to get a log home manufactured and built ranges from 4 – 12 months depending on how busy the factory in Finland is and how busy our work schedule is. It is always best to plan well ahead.
Yes, we use slow grown timber to ensure this. Another important factor is the weather protection, this is why we use Remmers coatings which are proven to last and be easy to maintain. With correct maintenance a log house will last several generations.
Not at all, a solid colour will last over 5 years, some translucent colours need attention more often so the best choice for longevity is a solid colour.
We can offer a 10 year structural warranty with an approved inspector checking each stage of construction, this gives everyone piece of mind and allows you to mortgage the new log house.

No more than any other home, we protect inside surfaces from spread of flame to meet building regs, a timber frame house is a higher risk and will burn down much quicker than a log house.
